NO GO on the 3 Series right now

I just got back from my test drive. I drove a 335i Coupe. It was fun and fast! Terrific power (though I was shooting for a 328i Coupe but none were available on the lot)! Surprisingly, it wasn't tight enough for me... it even had the sport package. I was expecting less body roll. That's disappointing because that car was #1 on my list and I don't have a back up plan.

I think this Boxster may have spoiled me. Here's what I learned about myself.

1. Given the choice between power and finesse, I choose finesse.
2. I used to consider myself a Bimmer man first. Could I be a true Porsche man with a mere interest in Bimmers?
3. To get what I want out of a BMW, I need to get an M. -Ergo, I can't afford a BMW? (When do you suppose the M1 will come out?)

I looked briefly at Z4 Coupes but they're more than I am willing/capable of spending. I like those.

Maybe I should just wait it out until used Caymans (Plural, Caymen?) become more available/affordable.

Thanks for the compliments on the car guys. I do love the way my Boxster (non-S) looks. I wouldn't mind getting a newer 986S, but it won't look as unique... Furthermore, along with the 987, it won't solve my alleged "practicality" problem.
