dj, my oil filler tube was cracked at the bottom and my oil separator was fine. So they both don't aways crap out at the same time.

The oil filler tube is "lightweight high performance Porsche plastic" and has an accordian type of bendable area on it (like a bendable straw) that cracks over time.

Alas, this is the problem with newer Porsches. Lots of plastic parts that don't stand up to heat and years of use like the older, heavier metal ones used in the classic Porsches.
