What is your occupation?

A few of the other forums I belong to had a thread like this and it was real fun. So,

What is your occupation?

I'll start.

I started an internet company about 8 year ago and it grew to 1300 employees. Then I started a Hummer limo company with 1 limo and its grown into a full time biz and all sorts of different limos. I still have the internet biz and do alot of stuff online that makes money, alot of it now has to do with SEO (search engine optimization), and some stocks on the side

So what is your occupation??

Sold dialup back in the day, then sold company and started traveling around the world investing in real estate.

Newest project is small Boutique Hotel in Colombia. Just today I put up temporary web-page to show my friends. I only spent 15 minutes making the page so it looks really bad and the photos were done in bad light, but here it is: http://www.LaCasaMedellin.com

Next project will probably be a ranch in Argentina.

I'm a GED teacher in a max security state women's prison. No kidding! I started out teaching part -time while I was in grad school working on a M.Ed. in Adult Education and things just evolved. Prior to this, I lived in South Korea teaching corporate and university English classes.

In my day job I train manufacturing employees how to be more efficient / globally competitive through the use of LEAN tools and Six Sigma methodologies, however over the last year I've gotten involved in network marketing (which everyone said to stay away from) with great results and my wife and I are looking forward to retiring in the near future.

I have two jobs, during the week I am a safety-compliance electrical engineer (environmental police) and on the weekends I am a barber (a gig I picked up to pay for college). So I can cut your hair and tell you how you are going to be in trouble with OSHA. Haha!

Small animal veterinarian.

Thought about doing large animal work, but too many of the formerly large animal practitioners/now-instructors seemed to ambulate with pronounced limps. Seemed risky.

And yes, unless it gets out of hand, I'll try to answer questions about members' pooches and kitties.

Perhaps one of the admins might see fit to merge this thread into the other Occupation thread?

http://986forum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11359&page=1&pp=20

Actually, no wait--that's not even the ORIGINAL Occupation thread. Three need to merge into one.

Nice, how are you enjoying it? Great stuff, but takes a lot of management support and courage. I actually find the teaching aspect the most rewarding.

Client Relationship Manager to the banking world with relevance to the electronic banking segment.

Six Sigma High-jack....Darkhamr

...was just about to begin my six sigma training while still employed by one of the nations largest banks a few years back...it seemed all the rage then...now that particular bank is my largest client and I do not hear any buzz about it anymore...
Do you think the method is losing steam or falling out of favor abit with large corps.?...shoot me a PM if you have a moment to chat. Thanks
