Ah, "ticket me red!" LOVE the color!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(So few people buy red Porsches because they stick out like a sore thumb in traffic, but I think my next one will be red... or black... no, red.... no, black.... I can't decide!)

I think the first mod you and your dad should buy together is THIS.

Got to agree with Randall, I love the Red! But they do stick out! I've been stopped three times in mine (no tickets). Once in a 70mph zone doing 75! Got to love those Texas State Troopers! Anyway congrats on the car and look into Zaino products. They work great on the red. Very nice ride!

What's the point in owning a Porsche if you don't stick out?

Hahaha, Thanks guys, my father and I both own a Escort Passport 8500 X50 each. I imagine we'll be fine *crosses fingers*. I think the first mod will be the De-Snorkel hack. Any other ideas would be much appreciated guys.

Zack

Let me know if you get that snorkel out because I yanked on mine as hard as I could and gave up. I'm 6'1" 225lbs and have lifted quite a few weights in my life, so I know I was putting some torque on that snorkel. I gave up as I thought I might break something.

Oh and congrats on the car. Looks like a great example and low mileage.

Welcome.

I would suggest doing what most of us did when we first got our Porsches:

1. Wash it
2. Wax it.
3. Pull up a chair and stare at it.

Gotta love just looking at these cars.......Welcome.

"ticket me red" = up to 24 mph over the limit in Texas. One mile per hour over and you'll be pulled over so the cop can tell his buddies he ticketed a Pcar driver today.

"arrest me red" = 25 over the limit in Texas (reckless driving) = lose license for a year, have your insurance company cancel your auto policy, etc. The cop will also tell his buddies, and also total strangers that he impounded your car, ripped up the underside doing so, told the wrecker driver to rifle through the car and steal your radar detector and anything else of value, and the list goes on and on.

It's hell to drive a red Porsche around here, even if you're going with the flow of traffic. I still want one though
