Pot -illegal--grows on the side of the road--pick it, dry it, smoke it.
Brandy--legal, grow grapes, extract juice, biologically change it ( Fermentation), chemically change it(aging), chemically inhance it( distillation), biologically change it (aging brandy in barrel) , drink it,
Makes you wonder doesn't it. What did God want us to enjoy, the pot or the knowledge to make brandy.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but pot is not for losers nor does it kill brain cells the way the average uninformed person thinks it does. I don't condone driving under the influence of any drug, including alcohol. However, I would say that the crap that the tv commmercials and politicians create as well as some of the bogus studies are designed to maintain the stereotype that pot smokers are lazy losers killing their brain cells. The reality is that alcohol kills and harms more peoples lives than pot does. Why do you think MADD came about. If I remember correctly MADD stands for Mothers Against Drunk Drivers. Furthermore, the government and the corporations can't make money on grass the way they make bank on booze. Weed like everything else in life is good if it is not abused.

well Gvmnt cant make money on it couse its illegal.
i never did any drugs whatsoever, so i dont know if its good if not abused. i was raised better than that to smoke weed and get high off of anything. theres far better things in life to do than get stoned.
i love the Amercian HIstory X quote on smoking weed (but im not posting that here, so if you saw the movie you know what im talking about, somehow thats stuck in y head anytime someone mentiones weed)

I dont condone anyone driving under any kind of influence weed, alcohol...etc...if u wanna kill yourself dont try and kill others along the way...but I have to agree, in the profession that i'm in i know all about medicine and drugs so that said weed is just as bad as is alcohol or cigarettes, it is addictive as much as cigs and alcohol is, and it is just as damaging on the brain and the body as is alcohol. It's not any worse then those two, people get the picture that its so much worse than alcohol because of the things we learn on tv and in high schools or whatever but in reality its the same as drinking. You're killing braincells anyway.
theres people who are potheads just as theres people who are alcoholics. while on the other hand theres people you would never think do drugs but they smoke weed every now and then and drink alcohol every now and then and they are sucessful smart people.
the only diference between alcohol and weed is that one is illegal and the other isnt, and alcohol would be illegal too if there was any way to do that...but it wouldnt minimize the numbr of people who drink on a weekly basis.
point being, to each his own but dont drive while under influece because that can cause accidents to happen where people get hurt.

Agreed. If you're gonna smoke pot, veg out, and get the munchies, go ahead- knock yourself out...it's your body. But please do it in the privacy of your own home, where you don't risk hurting anyone else. If you must get your jollies by driving while smoking weed, go play a driving video game at home instead, for Pete's sake.

Unbelievable...the fact that there is a discussion about this shows the ignorance of the average person. Driving under the influence, whether it be alcohol or any drug, is monumentously stupid, and I have no tolerance or sympathy for anyone who does. I had a colleague of mine get plowed into by a 20-something year old girl under the influence who ran a red light. He broke his neck, but luckily didn't lose function of his arms and legs and is doing well now. I wonder how many of you who sit there and type their smug remarks about how "weed is not as bad as alcohol" blah, blah, blah - would feel when one of their loved ones is killed by a driver under the influence. There was a local radio show recently here in the NYC area where I was floored by how many people were calling in complaining about the DUI blood limit and how they can drive well after drinking a few. Unfortunately, it's not the people who DUI who get killed, it's the innocent bystanders.

+1. It is incredibly stupid to drive under the influence of any drug or alcohol.
There is absolutely no reason to drive under the influence. Only morons do it and they need to stay off the road.
I was rear-ended by a drunk driver and was hospitalized. The ******************** fled the scene, but I got her license plate. Her dumbass ended up in jail for a while.

The problem might be that pot is actually his hobby. Too bad that he's also into driving.
