You didn't hurt a thing. The engines are actually broken in at the factory. It's just a guideline porsche dreamed up. Hardly anyone can keep a high revving car like the boxster under 4,200 rpm all the time for the first 2k miles. Just take it kind of easy and don't track it or go to redline in every gear for the first 2k miles. Enjoy your box.
