jaysan Registered User Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: california Posts: 5	tiptronic breakdown Hi, My 2001 boxster tiptronic transmission (65 miles) broke down. I got a quote of around 6k $s to get it replaced. I don't know what eactly wrong with it, but the shop said they will try to repair it if it can be repaired but hey wouldn't know if that is the case unless they teardown the transmission. Please let me know what kind of options do I have, to save money on this repair. Thanks.
