Is it just me or does the OEM Solstice front bumper look like it has buck teeth?

I'd be interested in the Mallet, except that by the time you do an LS swap into one of these, its a $50k car. At that price, I'll go elsewhere, thanks.

Now, used C5 Z06s are something to talk about......

LOL- buck teeth. Yeah, just too many "focal points" up front - but overall the Mallet upgrade looks better.

I was behind a stock Solstice yesterday and maybe I'm just so used to the correctly proportioned rears on the box and my wife's Lexus GS, but the Solstice's rears looked anemic. I swear my mountain bike has a fatter rear tire than the stock solstice....

GM deserves credit for stepping out of the usual mold on the Solstice and Sky - the latter looking better IMNSHO. Yes they cut some corners in the motor, ragtop (think monkey ****ing a football), wheels, etc. but not a bad first effort. They should really keep improving on it, but they probably won't....

I think it is important to keep in mind that we are talking about a car with a base price of $22k. At half the price of the Box, we shouldn't expect more than half the car...

Personally, I think the car looks good, and at that price point, it is nice to have a fresh and different option.

With a coefficient of drag of .45, the Solstice could sure use some aerodynamic enhancements.

.45...stuns me every time I say it.

Here is a good entertaining review of the Solstice GXP. Pretty sure I wouldn't want to take this car to the track based on this review.

well the Mallet one is price of the car, plus $50 or so for engine, and then about $16 for the bodywork.
so yeah, stupid to throw money at a pontiac like that, but you sure as hell wont see many like it on the road, but then again...with that money you can make a lot of things to any car...

Those guys who modified thier cars are stupid because there already are aftermarket body kits that look much better. Just look at this one at:
http://www.rksport.com/main/catalog_detail.asp?mdid=21&catid=4&appid=328

That version looks much better than the stock and is allot cheaper than adding Ferrari and Porsche parts to their Solstice.

This new GXP will also be featured as one of the many cars in the new upcoming Transformers Movie. It has a hradtop that was custom made for the movie and as of now is still not availible to the public.
