Exhaust Tip Cleaning
The only thing that will tell you that my "new to me" 2005 S is not brand new is the shmutz on the exhaust tip. The car has 9,100 miles on it. What is the best way you've found to clean up the exhaust tips and are there such things as polished stainless or chrome camoflage tips? I remember seeing them for other cars somewhere.
Thanks, Mike

fine polishing steel wool (000 grade i believe)
it will take you no more than about 10 seconds to have perfectly shiny tips

I tried the fine polishing steel wool 000 grade myself tonight and it worked like a charm. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for this post. I had this same question myself. I bought some of the 000 or 0000 steel wool and some metal polish and I will give it a try today.

no problem.
on my other car i tried just about everyting, and stuff seemed to work OK, but nothing compares to the steel wool method, as it takes more time for you to lay down and get yourself ready to clean them than actual cleaning itself
