review and pictures...new camera :)

went out today and bought a new camera. im loving it.
its a Fujifilm s5700, a 7.1mp, pretty much nicknamed a miniSLR, it came out this february.
it has a 10x optical zoom, which is insane, i have the digital zoom off.
flash is great, even during dalight, it has wayy too many options, antishake, great LCD pixels, easy to use buttons, nicely spread.
i read some great revies on it and jumped on it, also got digital classes as part of the deal.
cant wait to take some F1 pics with this bad boy

here are some sample pics from today
enjoy

after 17 years, they are BACk

this one was a great shot, this bird is always by my house

and then he flew on the power lines, still there with the 10x zoon buddy hehe

this one was while we were driving on bumpy road, still great!

just a sign

wow, those pictures came out really good! When you said this is a "miniSLR", do you mean this model a real SLR but just smaller, or does it just perform closely to SLR quality?

Cameras are pretty impressive these days. It looks like you're capturing some serious detail with those pix. "Miami" will appreciate that.

haha, yea, im yet to take pics of the box with it, believe it or not...

by mini slr i meant that they reffer to it, as its the closest you can come to slr without being slr i guess...
but its pretty impressive, i love all the features on it, and im yet to learn a lot.
i will get getting some lenses for it soon, wideangle first. i really love wideangle pics

Great resolution with that camera. I was going to look at purchasing a DSLR and now will look at this Fuji camera...

This is what he means by 'miniSLR'

It's not a pocket cam, but it's not quite an SLR.

Awesome picture quality, DJ! I have camera in the picture here, and it's quite impressive for being a 5MPix cam.
