Treo mount for Boxster

Is there anybody on this board that has a Treo and is using a car mount for it? Which mount do you think works best for the Boxster?
I'm think of purchasing this one but I want to make sure it'll fit and also get other suggestions before making my final decision.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Bob

The lighter isnt sturdy and tight fitting enough to support the weight. I tried to plug my gf's pod RoadTrip into the lighter and the lighter swiveled like it was going to pop out the interior trim.

Not to threadjack, but I've been looking for a mount for an iPod with no luck... the only ones I can find that fit the Porsche are way overpriced (surprise).

How about the vent clip one? Do you think that one'll hold securely?

I dont know about that vent clip one, even the cup holders that held on to the side vents would knock the blades off alignment. I dont really know what there is that really works for the boxster.

The center vents would move too much, if you hit a bump i could imagine the blackberry bouncing off the your AC display over every bump.

Check this place out. They have every mount imaginable.

I bought an iPod mount from them for my mini and its for sale if anyone is interested.

I think that's a little too steep for my tastes. I guess I will have to look at another solution.

Thanks for your suggestions.

If you like it, just get it and replace the euro spec lighter w/ a US one - deeper and tighter to hold accessories. I just did mine last week for all of $12..35 + shipping. It's great finally being able to charge my phone in the car w/out worrying about plug falling out, etc.. Here are the part #s you need and the prices for them from Sunset:

996-652-101-10-A05 Socket - $8.05
996-652-102-10 Lighted retaining ring - $4.30

Takes all of 10 min to upgrade it and definitely worth it. Link to how to from PPBB.com:

I'm also looking for some way to mount my Treo. Has anyone tried mounting it with the Kuda's mount (???) on Ebay yet? It looks like you to purchase the mount and the additional universal phone holder. Was thinking of ordering it but didn't have the time to get around to it yet.

Somebody on he thread mentioned that 2002 Boxsters and newer already have the new lighter. Is that true? Mine is a 2002 S. Does that mean that I already have the deeper lighter??

If not, this mod + the cigarette mount kit from Treonauts together is still way cheaper than proclipusa.
