I just bought some Mobil 1 0W-40 at Walmart for $5.97 a quart. AutoZone had it for $6.29/qt. And the thieves at my local Porsche charged me $10/qt last time I had them do it.

I went to my wal mart and they only had 5-30 and 10-40, I would get 10-40 but I drive in winter. I will have to ask if they can ship some in next time im in there.

I get mine at Pep Boys.

I would not recommend running anything other than 5-40 or 0-40.

Advance Auto Parts had it by the case last time I needed it. I don't know how much I paid. I must've still been stunned by the $43.00 oil filter I got from my friendly neighborhood Porsche dealer.

$43 ! Even when my Porsche dealer did my oil change they only charged me $24 and when I just bought one at the Porsche dealer parts counter they charged me $21. Did you pay $43 for just the insert? Or did you buy an insert and the housing?

$43.00 for the insert, O-ring and crush washer. Ridiculous, isn't it? I'll be going to NAPA from here on out. It so happened that I was driving by the Porsche dealer the day before I wanted to change the oil, so I stopped there. Oh well, live and learn.

When I bought it mine came with the o-ring and crush washer but it seems they may package it differently in different zones, so your mileage may vary.
