My local dealer was able to shed some light on some of the cars history, but only the service that had been done there and that the car had been purchased in Tampa. It's worth a call.

All warranty service is logged into a Porsche warranty database, and any Porsche dealer can access those records by VIN number.

Non-warranty service apparently goes into the dealer's own system and is probably not accessible by others.

At least this seems to be the case from my experience.
