Remote Mod

Does anyone have this for their 987?

http://www.mods4cars.com

It is a modification to the remote functionality. A couple of things I like are:

1) Chirp when the car locks (not sure why Porsche didn't do this in the first place)
2) One touch function for opening and closing the top
3) Auto tilt passenger side mirror when in reverse

Kinda spendy but cool.

If I HAD a 987... that doesn't really have a lot of features that I'd want to shell out $300 bones for. The auto top up/down is neat... and it wouldn't be horrible to be able to control the windows from outside the car... the horn chirp could sometimes be nice...

But I could live without it.

What I'd want to see is a SmartKey type deal... replace the key cylinder with a twist knob... have the electronics control the security. (of course, if it goes under the seat, it would have to be waterproofed. Stupid Porsche didn't think that decision through when the put the security module under the seat! )

My 2007 Boxster S does both #2 (when vehicle is moving) and #3 as a factory feature. Personally I don't like the horn chirping late at night when I lock the car so #1 is not important to me.

Ooo. Last time I saw this it was only available for 997 and Cayman. They have a 987 Boxster version now?

Hmm... A lot of the features they offer are fixes for things that really annoy me.

Hmm.....

I got to strongly disagree here....I would love the chirp because I wouldn't have to walk back to my car if I don't catch the lights flash in the sun....

or hitting the button and its to loud to hear it lock with the el in the chicago...

300...ouch tho
