hi, i,m jon and i,m an alc..... oh sorry wrong forum.....ahem! ok, picked up my new (to me) 1997 box today knowing it had a water leak at the front somewhere, (so possibility it may have been run hot ) this was negotiated in the price, anyways engine sounds fine apart from a slight knock on startup, any ideas? i,m going to change all fluids plus maybe add some valve additive tomorrow (this worked on my 1997 a6 quattro). just like to throw this question out in the mix for any sound advice anyone may have.....many thanx...jon........ps car is mint bar the probs stated (69100 miles on clock, fsh) ciao!
