i liked the all black the red is alittle out of place expct for the brake calipers.
|
Here's what I recommend: Get rid of that red and replace it with seagreen so it matches your car color. That will look very, very good.
I hope it's reversible. |
Wait... you already painted it? Or is that photoshopped?
Er... I can't say I like that at all... the red is just way out of place. In all honesty, to me, it cheapens the look of the car. |
nah............
|
I like it with the top up. When the top is down it might not look so elegant anymore.
|
I guess here we go with opinions again..everyone is different...hate to say it, but I love it!! I have been seeing this trend on very high end cars.. Lambos, Ferrraris,..etc. and wanted to do it to my wheels. Black with the red is hot. Just my opinion.
|
i guess its different because everyone wants to get some turbo twists and leave them as is, or similar 5 spoke wheels.
i really like multispoke wheels, and i love black, but it kinda blended in too much, so i wanted to break it up a little, and dont really want any green on my wheels  btw, its not painted on, its just a red pinstripe |
I like how it breaks up the black on the wheels and tires, but I don't really like the red with your car. It doesn't compliment the Ocean Jade. Maybe another color would look better. Silver, possibly, or a light grey?

The problem is that there is nothing to complement the red. If you had a red car, it'd look great, but it's very out of place. Why red on your wheels but no green? Green matches your car at least. P-shop it and see how it looks :) |
car is green, wheels and brakes are black/red.
if i wanted to compliment the wheels i would have painted them green, along with green brakes, green side vent grilles, green front grille, and while at it i would have got a custom green interior.... it owuld be way too much green |
Looks like a collage to me. Just a bunch of stuff thrown on. Its kinda like this... The mona lisa is a good painting because its a girl and some light background, you are trying to have a girl, some light background, a helicopter in the back fighting a space robot, and some breakdancers from the 80's flopping around. Too much, tone it down. Simplicity is the foundation of elegance.

I'm pretty sure that's what everyone else sees too. Putting a green stripe does not mean, "LET ME PAINT EVERYTHING GREEN!", but it certainly matches your exterior a lot better than red. That's what I think. Since you don't like green (ironically), staying with the black wheels might be good. |

so you are telling me that you dont see red caliprs on here? red stripe, red calipers, and painted (red again with gold) centercaps.... http://i12.tinypic.com/4z3akww.jpg |
I personally would leave them all black...
|
Is that vinyl? How much did it cost you for the red stripe? I got quoted from a sign shop at $120 for 4 rings. Although that's with the rim size cut out also.
Like this....btw Techart wanted $500 for 4 rings. http://uplode.us/images/5950techartwheel.jpg A crude photochop of my car with flat black rims and yellow rim stripes. I'm planning to powder coat mine though. http://uplode.us/images/6958boxsterblackrims.jpg |
Get a set of Scorcher T/A tires to go with it.

I still prefer the silver aluminum color. To each his own.
