Squeak, Squeak, Squeak

I have developed a nasty squeak in the left front suspension that RandallNeighbor correctly diagnosed as a bad lower control arm bushing. My friendly neighborhood P-Car store is ordering the lca. Luckily it is covered under my Certified Warranty. I am concerned the passenger side may fail but it may wait until after my warranty expires on July 5.

What is the experience of forum members? Has 1 side failed and the other has gone on without problems or did you eventually end up replacing both sides? It's kind of hard to word the question properly - I know 1 side does not have an influence on the other, but I would like to be armed with information if I need to press the dealer into changing the other side now.

Thanks in advance.

YES YES YES.. This is my favorite thread so far. I had this for about 4 months, drove me nuts. I took the whole damn thing apart and found nothing. It came down to a bolt that the lower control arm pivots on. All I had to do is break loose and all has been good since. I hope this helps.

Is there a way you can have/pay the dealership do an inspection on it to determine what parts may be bad or have gone bad? If they find something wrong while doing the inspection then they should cover it under warranty.
