Also, pop rivets work fine if you have a rivet gun. As I recall, I used 3/16" rivets. Use the cheap aluminum nail kind so they are easy to drill back out if you ever have to take it off again.

When bolting putting everything back together, just check the alignment carefully as you go to make sure it goes all the way down without sticking, or you'll get to o it again (or be one of those running around with a large gap to the body).
