Question 02 Boxster Standard Equipment?

I recently purchased an 02 Boxster.
Can someone tell me if remote locks were standard equipment on this model?
I only receved one key at time of purchase, no remote with the key just the useless light.

I received two keys with my car. The first is the main key and has 3 buttons on it, one for the doors, and one for each of the compartments front and rear. I also got a valet key...which I have never used.

My '02 came with 3 keys, two with the remote entry stuff and one valet. I've never used the valet key either since there really isn’t too many valet places here in St. Louis.

I always assumed keyless entry was standard, but I might be wrong. I looked up all the option codes on the sticker under my hood and none of them are expressly for remote keyless entry. However, the option for the alarm specifically says Remote Control Alarm (option 535).

I guess if you car doesn’t have the alarm then you don’t get keyless entry? Does anybody know this for sure because I am just guessing?

If you have the key head with the light then you have the $499 per month lease special. No remote. No alarm.

My 2000 came this way. Take a look at the passenger side door. if there is a key hole, then you've got the lease 'no option' boxster.

Although mine has the white gauge dials, silver e-brake and shifter knob, 18" turbo twists, and painted wheel crests.

He's just asking questions that I asked when I first bought my car.

It seems like standard questions:
1. soft top conversion
2. adding alarm and remote entry
3. replacing wheels
4. garage remote hack
5. top down while moving hack
6. litronic retrofit

Tool Pants set me straight on this once before. I thought I'd just return the knowledge to others.
