Sweet! Thanks. I think the thing looks pretty nice. Kinda breaks up the lines though huh? Hmmm...

Here's how it looks in the down position. I like it. It's something different without being outrageous.

I really like the look, almost like the 03'+ 986 rear spoiler when it's raised. It kinda look funny when it's in the down position though,it's not very flush, looks like it isn't fully lowered or something with the gaps.

Grizzly, can you take some pics of your spoiler in the down position? It looks really good from that pic that you just posted.

Grizzly,
Is yours the same as the one posted on eBay? If so, was it difficult to install? Also how was the paint job they did? Close match? Looks great.

I'd be careful about replacing the spoiler with something that doesn't block as much air as the solid one you have now. After all, the factory spoiler is engineered in such a way as to keep the back end on the ground at high speeds and with something flimsy on there as pictured, you may find yourself losing control of your car at very high speeds... which is the worst time to be losing control.
Safety first. Aesthetics second I say.

Hey! Wait a minute! I just braved the impending darkness of night to take these pictures! Now, somebody's getting a spoiler, damnit!!!
O.K., O.K., I'm O.K., now. I didn't get mine from ebay. I got it from one of the big catalog places. I think it was Automotion, but I'm not certain. It's a RUF. A couple of guys have purchased them from ebay and had problems with cracking. I haven't had any trouble with mine.
As far as the down-force issue goes, I can't say one way or the other. If, possibly, hypothetically, I'd been to the far side of 130, it would probably have felt pretty stable to me. Of course, that's only hypothetically speaking...and that would have been in a hypothetical straight line on a hypothetical level highway on a hypothetically windless night.
Hey! Check out the pollen on that shot across the deck lid. The car was washed last night. It's green already. Do you guys get pollen like that in your areas of the Country?

Isn't that really abrasive? I'd imagine that plays hell on your dark paint.

1. Strut tower braces front & back ($450 ~ $500)
2. A small $150 JVC 6" powered subwoofer box for under the seat (its really cool for the price)
3. This damm spoiler $??
To name a few...

It's a sickness, dude. Most of us have it and there's apparently no cure.
