If it does fall off, hopefully it won't be at high speed on a cool moist day with a 30kt S.F. headwind. Perfect conditions for your car to suddenly become an airplane.

How's yours holding up? How did you remove the old spoiler? I'm looking at 3 plasticky looking button/rivet looking things. You have the same thing?

Well, After 4 days I received the part. There are 3 plastic rivets. Get a normal round toothpick and poke the centers into the fin. Then with a small Flathead screwdriver pry the plastic plugs out. It is very easy, careful not to scratch it with the screwdriver. Then the painted cap can be removed, pry from the back and peel and pull it forward, towards the seats. Then use a Allen wrench to remove the bolts in the hole. X2. The fin will now come off.
Now look at the ends, there are plastic end caps. Remove one of them, again with the screwdriver, and pout out the three plastic pins and the two screws that are inside the fin. Replace the pins in the plastic rivets, replace the end cap, and store your fin somewhere. As for putting the new one on, it is a one step process. Just screw in thing one with the supplied screws. I used 2 plastic washers because I was afraid that the metal screws might crack the fiberglass. It is holding up so far. I went about 110 for 5 ish miles and it was still on there when I stopped.

PS Down here in Texas it is easy to find a country back road with no people or curves to do 110 for 5 miles.

Did the car's back end feel any different with the different styled spoiler?

I did not notice any difference at high speeds. Although I was going strait and not in a turn. I would like to hear from the people that do the road course racing if they have noticed any difference in downforce.

I just ordered one of these. Anybody else put one one? Rear end of the car fall off? Get 98 MPG now? Any other details? Also, a non related question, I want to add my old car as my Avatar, how is this done?

I've had one one for over three weeks now and it's still on good! I recommend that you get some plastic washers for use between the spoiler and the shafts PLUS plastic washers for INSIDE the spoiler also just in case. I was a little unsure how much to torque down on fiberglass but this seemed to relieve me of that uncertainty. My MPG has not changed... oh wait... I'm getting 99MPG now!

Yes, I used rubber washers from Home Depot the second time I installed mine. Would have been good the first time. Also, check to make sure it's not loose from time to time. It may need to be tightened down a little after a few months.

I couldn't tell you because I never saw the new design. I think they just added more fiberglass in the spots that were week to make them stronger at the mounts.

The base seemed real thick, but I still wanted to be safe, washers allowed for more cushion. Just have to tighten it up once in a while. Hehe...
