hardtop interchange

Will the hardtop of first gen. fit 2nd gen.?

986 hardtop will not fit a 987, and vice versa.

It looks to me that the side windows on a 987 are shaped differently than those on a 986. If that is the case, they definitely won't match up.

a 996 top wont fit the 986 boxster either huh?

Nope,I wish though,996 hardtops can be had for $300-1k,Boxster hardtops can go anywhere from $800-1.5k.
