I reckon it depends on what you're after...looks? Personally I love the tri-spoke wheel as opposed to the ugly flat one (which is in my boxster)...or are you going more for the thrill of driving it, and the experience? I'd go for the 2000 S, and even though PSM is great, I don't think you'll get yourself into that much trouble with the 3.2 L engine.

If all else fails, go to a track day or find an isolated parking lot and find out where the limits for your car are, and you won't have to worry about PSM as much.

Also, where do you live? If you live in the north, then heated seats and PSM would help in the winter with snow, but down south you probably wouldn't need heated seats as much, or the PSM.

Again, figure out what YOU are looking for, and make yourself a sort of "dream boxster" and then compare whatever else you find to your ideal car. Whichever matches the best, well....you'll have your answer.
