Hi,

eBay can be a good source, but you have to know what you're looking for. A Pet or Parts Catalog is a must and only buy Genuine Porsche Parts.

I picked up several spares at hundreds off the going rate, but you must be careful.

For Brake Pads, there are several good sources. I bought OEM replacements (Pagid) for my Street-only Boxster for $150 (both axles) which is about $50-$100 less than most Dealer Prices.

Aftermarket Pads are available through a number of independent parts suppliers. But, if you're just a Street Car, they don't offer any advantage despite the Hype. They tend to be noisier, more agressive to the Discs, wear more quickly, and won't decrease your stopping distance appreciably at all. Hope this helps...

Happy Motoring!... Jim'99
