Need Help: Windstop stolen

Guys,

For the life of me, some jerk took my windstop off my Boxster!!!!!!!

Unfortunately it's not enough for my deductible so now I have to pay for it out of pocket.

Does anybody know where I can get a windstop. New or used (at least in good condition) for a CHEAP price!?!?!?

Thanks!!!!

**SOB SOB SOB**

And this, my friends, is why I never leave my top down if I'm not within 10 feet of the car.

Ebay, Junkyard (or dismantler or recycler for the pc crowd); Might check a place like partsheaven as well. Yeah, even Suncost had new ones for only $380 iirc ( ).

Oh man, sorry to hear that. Removing a windstop isn't that hard but I think it would still take some time (releasing both ends). Was the car in a garage or something where nobody noticed the guy stealing your windstop? Has to be a fellow boxster owner, I can't see why anybody else would want such a thing.

I would look at ebay, I think a new unit might be pretty high.

I think it was just random vandalism. But I'm just missing the wind deflector in the middle. Anybody know where to get just that part? As much as I like the wind, I can't hear diddly without it.

Where do you think all of those windscreens come from that are for sale on Steal-Bay? I've Ty-rapped my perforated/side screens with matching colors. Haven't figured out a good way to fasten the center screen yet though... The Ty-raps will only foil the idiot thiefs who want them in one piece and don't carry side cutters with them all the time...
