Removing a windstop isn't that hard but I think it would still take some time (releasing both ends). Was the car in a garage or something where nobody noticed the guy stealing your windstop? Has to be a fellow boxster owner, I can't see why anybody else would want such a thing. I would look at ebay, I think a new unit might be pretty high.
