Subwoofer in the boot

Has anyone ever attempted to put a subwoofer enlosure into the rear boot of a boxster?If so what are the results like and how difficult is it to run the wiring through the car..

Why would anyone WANT to put one back there?

It's completely separated from the cabin of the vehicle. Unless you just want to piss off your neighbors, or others when you're driving down the street... or just want to do it just to do it... there's NO reason or advantage to putting anything back there.

The rear trunk absolutely does not work. You CAN put a sub in the front trunk, and do some serious homework to design a tuned port that comes into the cabin through the passenger side steering column slot (where the steering column would be on a RHD car), but you have almost made a bandbass enclosure now which will provide SPL over a very narrow range (i.e. have kick or "bump") but wiill not be terribly musical. What most do is build a small sub into the passenger side footwell sacrificing passenger footwell space.

I am currently installing a JL 8W3 in a sealed enclosure (glassed into the countours to gain a bit of volume in the enclosure) and can post pics when finished.
