yeah the cheap gas comes at a cost. In a cheap car with a cheap engine its not a big deal if you get mystery juice deposits left behind in your engine. The bucket of bolts will still get you from point a to point b. And went it reaches 150Kmiles and its time for the trash compactor.

Now in a benchmark sports car, you are taking a bigger risk for very little reward as bmusatti pointed out.

on a somewhat unrelated note, The Indy Racing League will be holding the indy 500 on ethanol. Sports cars on home grown fuel when will Porsche next??
Yes I know we don't grow enough corn to feed the beast but it would be great to see SUVs and Sports Cars stop running on unleaded.
