Look on the option code sticker on the front luggage compartment lid. There may be some numbers scribbled on the sticker, one of which could be the radio code, the other the security system code.

I always wondered what the writing on the sticker was

So how do I know if it is the radio code or the security system code ?

Since there was only one code on the sticker, my guess is that it's the radio code.
When I had to re-enter mine after the battery went dead, I think it was 4 digits.
When you hook up the batt again, the radio display shows a code entry screen.
