A few weeks ago my driver side low beam was out.
Went to Porsche, bought an H7 bulb, replaced it myself -- all fixed, no problem.
This week I noticed the passenger side low beam was out. Bought another bulb, swapped it out tonight -- NO DICE. NOTHING. NADA.
I can't figure it out. The wiring all looks pristine and new.
In another post someone mentioned a yellow tab getting knocked out of contact when you slide the light housing back in, but I'm not sure what they're referring to.
Another poster said she had dim headlight due to a faulty ignition switch. but I don't think it's that, or wouldn't both lights be equally dim? I do get some light from the passenger side, but I don't thinks it's coming from the the low beam bulb at all, but rather that 3rd parking light bulb.
Are these electrics prone to shorts? If so, anyone got any ideas on where to start looking?
Any typical problem that you guys know of? Any experts want to chime in?
My car's warranty just expired about a month ago (Murphy's Law), and I'd rather not pay hundreds to a shop for diagnosis if the fix turns out to be fairly simple.
