New Wheels!!!

Had my new wheels installed today. Here is the info:

19" Carrera Classics from Wheel Dynamics
Michelin PS2 tires, went with 275/35/19 in the rear
7mm spacers rear
Total Cost with Labor = $2300

I'm very happy with the look. The 7mm spacers add a more aggressive look to
the back, but subtle.

Here are some pics.

FYI - My old 18" Boxster S wheels are available in the Classifieds section.

Very nice!

Looks very nice! Can you pls show a pic straight from the back and perhaps looking straight down one side of the car (from the back)? I'm thinking of putting 7mm spacers on my 18"s and am curious to see how the wheel stands relative to the well and body. What spacers did you get? Did you have to do alignment on your car after the new wheels and spacers?
Z.

I love it!

The spacers were from Wheel Dynamics so I'm not sure what brand they use, probably pretty generic, but they looked solid.

Here are a couple of additional pics but I don't think the angles/ shadows work very well so I'll try to take a couple more tomorrow - won't have time tonight.

Thx burton. Also wanted to say that your Box looks simply beautiful. Can't believe you were thinking of replacing it.
Z.
P.S. Time to change the sig pic.

Those look great! What are the wheel widths?

I have 15mm rear and 7 mm front spacers on my 18" Turbo Twists and they bring the wheels out nicely. :)

dcporsche99 03-23-2007 02:16 PM

Very nicely done!

Those look great, now you just need to update you sig./avatar so it matches your new look. ;)

porschegeorg 03-23-2007 03:24 PM

Very Nice. I wish your old wheels fit my 986.

bmussatti 03-23-2007 04:21 PM

Looks great, Drburton! Do the tires come mounted on the wheels and all balanced? Did they use the sticker wheel weights?

drburton 03-23-2007 06:42 PM

Thx for the compliments, I'm really happy with the results.

To answer a couple of the questions:

The wheel widths are 8 in front and 9.5 in rear. Spacers are in rear only.
The tires did not come mounted by choice. You can have Wheel Dynamics do the mounting but my neighbor owns a tire store so I had him order the tires and do the balancing etc.. (at cost). Yes, he used the sticker wheel weights.

I'll have to update my signature line too.

OMG..DJ! YOu are freaking awesome....Can you go to my garage right now and photoshop the Boxster about an inch :D

djomlas 03-23-2007 08:09 PM

lowering a car in photoshop is actually fairly easy, that took me like 2 minutes, and it came out pretty neat.
so if you have a pic, ill drop it for you
