whats the phone-mic do?

i noticed this phone-mic thing on the upper left of the gauge cluster.. how does it work, what can i do with it? ... where do i connect teh phone?

unless you ordered the car with the options for handsfree phone, it's probably empty...
You can easily get it out by (very carefully) using a butter knife and see what's behind the plug.

There is nothing behind there on a US car unless you have a 2003-2004 with Bose AudioPiolt. There there is a speaker to adjust the the radio sound level.
