Suspension Diamond install trick

That diamond piece that connects the subframe together can be quite the PITA to get on and especially to get back on.

I found if you take a ratchet strap between the two sides of the suspension and squeeze them together the diamond piece can be easily removed and installed.

I found the back most studs might not line up quite right -- but it's easy to loosen the bolts on that bracket, line up them up to the diamond and then retighten them.

All this might be easier to access because its a race car -- but the same principal should apply to other cars.

That's the way I do it, too. I eventually got tired of having to rig up the strap and the ratchet and fitted my Boxsters with the rear suspension brace from Pedro. The bar was a bit of a pain to fit because the bolts wouldn't clear the exhaust pipes , but that was a one-time PIA instead of an every-time PIA . Fit Pedro's bar and you won't curse as much.
