Rare 986.1 PSE Porsche Sports Exhaust

SOLD

Excellent condition, personally tested for 50 miles on a low mileage 1997 986 we had. This will fit all 1997-2002 Boxster/Boxster S. **On 1997-1999 Boxster you will need additional bracket to install (we have them).

The valves stay open when not hooked up. We do not have the associated vacuum cannister/unit to operate the valves, which basically closed the valves under 3k RPM or between 20-45 MPH for sound emissions reasons etc.

The kit part number for this exhaust was 00004420012 (000-044-200-12)

The part number on the muffler assembly itself is 99611198700 (996-111-987-00)

They are asking $1000.00 for this unit. Keep in mind it's missing parts and its dented.

What did these sell for 20 years ago new?

also here is the TSB for install of "all the missing parts" that basically close the valves under 3k RPM and between 30-45 MPH for noise emissions reasons.

Dents in tubes are by design from the factory... And you Dan still buy new for over $3,000 or a used for less, your choice. I have one and love it, but won't pay over $1,000 cause there are more options out there.

I believe the "dent" he is referring to is the one on the right exit pipe, that one I don't think is supposed to be there. I wanted to see if I could have my paintless dent guy look at it but currently I am offering it for sale as is.
