They will fit a 2001. The back up lights still work with a slight pinkish hue.

Its simply red tint. It can be removed just like regular tint can be.

Just to force some clarity here... The part number is a stock tail light (Red/Amber/Clear) and since the OP says it can be removed, I expect that it's this type:
Rather than this type:

Thanks for clearing that up. I'm not interested in the lights but 2 weeks to answer a simple question? The suspense was killing me.
