FS: Soft top with glass window, and FREE seats
Hey all,
I put a hard top on my 2003 986, and am getting rid of the soft top. I don't have a price, since I have no idea what these are worth. What do you guys think? Open to offers. It's in pretty good shape, no rips. Bulky, so prefer someone local (North San Diego County).
Also, I put in some Sparcos, so have two seats FREE for local pick up. The driver's seat is poor, passenger is fair. Motors work perfectly. Should I throw them away, or is there someone here that can use em?

The question is, are you sailing the full top assembly , or just the canvas cover?

I'd hold onto the seat belt receptacle and sliders if I were you. No one's going to buy seats with rips or cracks though.

Ah, a good point you have. You reminded me that one of the receptacles is bad in my 996, so I will take off the receptacle and sell it to myself! .
Thanks for the input on the seats. I figured they were junk, but wanted to ask before tossing. What would anyone want the sliders for? Do they sometimes stop working?

Interested in the top
I've purchased tops that required shipping in the past. The cheapest was Greyhound. Packing involves lots of cardboard and tape to protect the top. If you are up to it, I'd bid you $650 delivered to Decatur, Il 62526.
Thanks, Joe

The sliders are easy to take off and people use them for converting to racing seats. They don't really go bad.

Is the top still available?
I am in San Diego so I can pick up the top without you having to do anything.
Let me know your price if the other offers fall through.
Thanks!

Sorry, nope.
But I have heated seats in my '99 986 which I will be selling soon (the whole car, not just the seats)!

Hey Joe, the Sparco seats I bought were shipped Greyhound, so I know what you mean. I'm guessing it will be roughly $150 to ship via Greyhound, plus a trip to the Walmart dumpster to find cardboard.
If you can kick in another $100 I will be willing to go through the hassle of
finding cardboard, etc., burrito-wrapping it, and bringing it to Greyhound.

Emore93, if I don't hear from Xcellr8 in the next couple hours, the top is yours. The car is getting some racing mods done, so I won't have the top back until next week. Then I am racing at Streets of Willow over the weekend. So it will be a couple weeks before I can ship it to you. Shoot me a PM with your contact info., or better yet, email me at: miller.12345@yahoo.com

Thanks for your patience - I'll pass though
Thanks for your patience. I'm not willing to go any higher. Looks like you have another opportunity waiting. You should go that direction. Thank You.
