WTB: 1998 or compatible tiptronic transmission

I'm loooking for a tiptronic transmission that I can have shipped to me. It may be necessary to ship the tiptronic computer as well. If anyone has a lead on one that is a better deal or better quality than Ebay please contact me.

I have one with 64k but I can't verify running condition. I can't keep the engine running long enough to take it for a test drive. I suspect a vacuum leak but can't see where and the damage from the wreck has shoved the motor forward. I might be pulling the motor this week and can get a better look then. $700+shipping. I understand if you're not comfortable buying an untested trans but they are hard to come by and it is an option if need be.

Is there still transmission fluid inside the transmission? Could you take a sample of it for me?

There should be. I'll see what I can do about getting a sample. I'm pulling the engine and trans tomorrow. I was able to track down the owner and he said it ran great before he lost control and hit a pole. He only had it for a month before he bought it from a dealer. .

There's been a delay on pulling the motor and trans from that boxster. Buyer of the motor wants to come see it before I remove it. I was able to get the boxster up on a lift and after closer inspection I wouldn't recommend buying this trans. If you were here in Texas it would be worth the gamble, but the cost of shipping it back and forth makes it too risky. At least that's my opinion.
