FS:Sachs Clutch Kit for boxster S

			Brand new.
Got it by mistake for my 99 2.5l, and the seller refused to have it returned.
Ended up buying another kit
The kit includes pressure plate, disk and bearing.
Asking $300 shipped in the U.S. 48 states.

Thanks.

Hi Jay.

Yes it's for boxster s, and it should fit your 2004.
Disk part number is 1864000045
And pressure plate is 3082306341.

Yes.
The part number on the box is 3000 830 601.
But obviously, that is not the correct number.
I believe that's what created the confusion, as they put the wrong sticker on the box.
The parts listed on the box are:

The disk inside the kit is not 1864521143, but 1864000045.
I had to do a lot of research about it, until I figured out that the 2.5 and 2.7 are the same part number (5 speed ) , and for the 3.2 the disk is different.
By the way, on both kits the pressure plate is the same part number.
In realty, the disk for the 5 speed and the 6 speed is the same. The only different is the center hub that has a larger diameter on the 6 speed.

not correct.
this part can be used in even later models, including some other makes as VW Audi and Skoda.
 SACHS 3082 306 341 (3082306341) Clutch Pressure Plate
Edit: BTW, i installed the same kit in my previews car (2001 S) and it is still perfect. do not belive the flyweel is different on the 04.
in fact, you can also use 987 parts, and they will fit as well. manufactures are always changing numbers when they come with newer products.
for our application, i personally don't see any deference except for the price.

The correct pressure plate for an 04 986 S is 996.116.027.06
the one you have is equal to 986.116.028.03/04
I know they change part numbers from time to time

just to clear some of the confusion.
this clutch kit will fit any Boxster S from 00 - 04.
there are some more updated kits that will fit as well, and might be considered better in the eyes of some.
i personally think (after driving a Boxster S with a 987 pressure plate) that there is no difference in street driving application.
don't know about track driving, or with a 3.4/6 implant as i never drove one.
with that put a said, if anyone is interested of buying this kit, i'm willing to offer a full refund including covering shipping costs in case of missfitment.
thanks for looking

Meir.

I checked with Sachs and it appears you have the disk for a 3.2 and the pressure plate for a 2.7 (2.5 ?)
Don't know what throw-out bearing they gave you but the correct one for a 3.2 is 3151267132

the correct pressure plate for a 3.2 is 3082000037

Who was the seller that refused to make it right?

it was a seller on ebay, but that's not his full fault.
i always like to be prepared ahead of time, and i travel a lot at work.
so not always i get to work on the car as i wish.
i had the part in my possession for 3 months before i got to it.
on clutch assembly i noticed that the disk doesn't match. (see video)
at first they disregarded me, due to the time that passed, and the fact that the box has the correct kit number.
they gave me the runaround for 3 weeks going back and fortיץ
at the end, they checked and confirmed they send me a kit for the S.
but say they cant take it due to the time that passed.
i mean, they made a mistake, but they also say "return 14 days"
so they decided to do the right thing on their hand, instead of the smart thing.
i appreciate your comments Jay.
even though i researched it in the past, and it was confirmed by the seller and also by **************************************** where i ended up buying another kit, i will look at the numbers again to confirm fitment.
from what i remember, the pressure plate part number was the same for all models, and the difference is only in the disk.
but then again butter trust facts then memory

Not a problem

I feel for you brother.

As they sent the wrong item, they should have taken it back regardless.
I hope you gave them a bad review

Its a PITA as the Porsche part numbers change from time to time
