For the more experienced folks on here - based on the image above, is it possible to tell how many slots are still available? I thought it lists out the last few letters of the VIN for the vehicles used up already.

Can someone please clarify for us? Thanks.

I might be wrong but it looks like only 1 VIN has been used and thus the Durametric can be used with 2 more cars.

I'm a mac guy myself... buy a cheap used working laptop from someone off craig's list and dedicate it for the cable. That's what I did. $50
