WTB: Dash switch for garage door opener hack

I looked on eBay but couldn't find any. I know Suncoast sales it for $37 but don't really want to spend that much for a switch (does that make me cheap???)

Also, I don't really care about the icon on the switch, actually I was thinking of erasing whatever's on the switch to make it "stealth" for security purposes. It just needs to be a momentary contact switch that fits on the dash. I plan on wiring the switch to my garage door opener remote and hide the remote behind the dash.

It would be great if anyone has a spare switch (for a good price) that would work as a momentary contact switch .

Thanks,
-fabrice

You can find switches on eBay for ~$20 used.

Wow, that was some extra speedy response... I love this forum.
I did find all kind of dash trim parts on eBay (some of them with switches) but no individual switch. I entered "Boxster Dash Switch" in the search field.

Try "defrost switch 986" or "defrost switch 996". Quite plentiful on ebay. The Targa switch is much harder to find used.

Thanks for the tip. Just bought a used "door lock" switch for $8.99 with shipping.
