Center Console Cup holder wanted for my 2001 986. Used but not abused please.

As luck would have it, EBay just sent me a costumer appreciation coupon redeemable for 20$ off a single purchase. So I picked up a new center console cup holder for $29 including shipping.

I have one of these. Works pretty good. I need to figure out a way to keep the lid in the upright position though.

Where does one keep their gun and registration if that is now a cup holder?

You can always use your hot coffee for protection

I would think the door pocket would work well for that.

I thought I would keep registration/insurance card sandwiched in between the bottom of the cup holder and bottom of the console.

My Boxster is a 2000 so I can use the owners manual holder below the steering wheel.

I had that cup holder, hated it. I have a pair of Ultmate cup holders now and they completely satisfy the OPR.

Well when you hit two Deer at 1:00 AM and it breaks their backs you have to put them out of their misery...our crime rate is super low....I leave the keys in my car most times at home

No I haven't tried these in the holes. Not a bad idea though.

I received the center console cup holder I ordered from an ebay seller today. It is made of thin, flimsy plastic...cost maybe $3 plus tooling to make I estimate.

Works fine but for $50 the manufacturer could make it a bit sturdier I would think.

Yeah it looks like the same one I got from suncoast. Way over priced but what isn't for these cars. I tried to make one out of hard foam but it didn't work very good, so I just bought the plastic one.
