Wanted: Rear Speaker Compartment.

I am looking for the rear speaker compartment for a 2001 Box. Specifically, the tan interior.

If you can find one cheap in ANY color, you can always take it to an upholstry shop and ask them to recarpet it and match your tan carpet. That might be much faster way to get what you want.

I bought one with red carpeting and I have a black interior... I'll have it recarpeted black in 2006 as one of my "upgrades".

Thanks Randall. Revise my request. I do not specifically need the tan color.

I bought my with the Tan Carpet off e-bay for a real good price. I have black interior so i just went to a fabric shop and got fabric/upholstry spray paint. Worked pretty well, besides the carpet part is pretty unnoticeable.. top down you can't even see it, and just a little through the back window with the top up.

I couldn't find a Bose rear sub enclosure for sale on ebay at this time but I did find this which seems interesting. It looks like a good way to add some more oomph to the stock or Bose system and it looks way cleaner than a bazooka tube or some other systems I've seen. I think this is a one of a kind custom as I have never seen anything like it before. What do you guys think?

Adam, I can't find enough info on the web for this unit to see if it requires an amp, but I bet it does... it's just the speaker itself, right?

I'm interested in adding one of these too, but I have no "new" source for it like a stereo shop as of yet. Post something if you find an online source for it.

You are right. You have to have an amp, but Bose and HI-FI equipped cars should already have one...albeit a small one. I could probably run that off the OEM amp but a more powerful one would be better.

Rear Speaker Box

I have the rear speaker Box. I replaced the one in my 2002 Boxster S. The speakers still sound good but the bottom assy is cracked. It rattles when the volume is cranked up. It may be repaired. It is an all black assy.
