BBS sport design II wheels

For the love of Pete, someone buy the wheels closing on ebay in about half an hour for less than half what I paid for mine. IMO these are the best looking wheels on a 986. I can't afford a 3rd set right now- Ok really I just can't explain it to the wife in any rational way- but man I'm tempted.

Is that really a good price? ($1400...the buy it now?)

I've got an 18" set on my car and would be surprised if they brought anywhere near that much...are they that desireable?

I think the price is high too. I just bought perfect factory 19" lobsters with new continentals last week for $850 with center caps. I think $800 would be more in line for these. Just my 2 cents. They are nice looking wheels though.

So that's what they're called. That's what came on mine when I bought it a little while ago. I really like the look, but they are a bit time consuming to clean!

BBS has always made very high quality wheels, and IMO, they look great. That's not a bad price, with rubber on them. I wouldn't be suprised to see them go for that much. They are easily $2,500 for a new set.

Sorry guys for not posting link, have been off the net since 1st post, chief got it right though. New these Italian BBS beauties with the titanium rim bolts were about $5600 from the dealer. I believe only in 18". Shared with the 911 as an option, but usually in 10" wide rears on the 911. Seem to go for about 2k on ebay used with minor rash. Made $1099 shipped near-new condition with some useable rubber seem quite a bargain. Yeah, they are a little more trouble to clean than some, but I think worth it.

Good to hear...I have the 18" versions

with the rim bolts (are they really titanium?)...the 17"s I believe do not have the two piece wheel look and lack the bolts around the rim. I think the ones I have are 9" rears (it is running 265 size tires). I have thought about painting them black but may look at selling them if they will bring good money and getting some factory 19's from a newer model boxster or cayman.

edit...just realized you were referencing the sport design wheels...not the sport classic II's.
