WTB Durametric....

Looking to purchase a used durametric hopefully for a good price. Not sure if it matters but the car I am intending to use it on is a 2000 base.

Thanks.

papa, I have a friend who has sold his Boxster. He has one of the Durametrics that is unlimited VIN use. He purchased it before they restricted the enthusiast model to three VINs. He may want to sell it. You can reach him at dragonrods@sbcglobal.net. His name is Mark Smith.

Just an FYI...I ended up purchasing that one the Norm mentioned. I had a thread going and got an email with an offer.

Also, I called and talked with the guys at Durametric and if you buy a Gen I cable (which the above mentioned was) they will upgrade to a Gen II for $150 and you get the latest. Hence if you buy a pro cable, get an RMA from Durametric and ship it to them...they in turn will return a new pro cable for that cost. Durametric says that license and ownership is with the owner of the cable at that moment, not to the original buyer.

No hard feelings...

I talked to Durametric and they said they would do the upgrade for $150...for the cost of the upgrade and the price of the older cable I could have bought a new one so it just wasn't the deal I was needing.

For other items and in other forums I have seen specialty items being offered through group buys. Do you think there is enough interest to make it worth Durametric's while? I'd be interested in one.

I would be in for a group buy as well. Getting ready to order a pro version and if I can save $s then that works.

I'm also looking to buy a Durametric "Enthusiast" for my 986.

I found Durametric direct charges $347, Amazon $297.

Anyone else find a good price?
