Hi,
I can point you to 6 or 7 more documented instances of the
M96/23, 24 Engines failing.
There's no reason to believe that it's any more reliable mechanically than the previous
M96 variants - no substantive changes were made to the Engine or it's design. Essentially, it was
massaged to produce more Power, but it was not
improved...
