I paid $25.31 ($19.31 for the part and $6.00 for shipping) from Suncoast Porsche in Florida. I think Sunset Porsche in Oregon might have had the part for less. I didn't check with the dealer in this area, but I assume they would have been a little higher. Plus, I can never get to the parts department during the week when they are open.
The repair kit is a good design. I just don't understand why they couldn't have used a metal part to start with. I thought I read somewhere that the 924's had a weak hinge on the center console as well. So it sounds like Porsche has a bit of a history with this.
