Hope you all had a better weekend than mine
Friday I am supposed to pick up the Benz from the repair shop. Transmission is fixed ( $1100 ! ) - but the car is not ready. Apparently, I have a power steering leak and the pump needs to be replaced. Cost - $350 ! There goes $1450 and the Performance driving school this weekend down the drain
Saturday take my girl out for a nice dinner then to the casino we go. Got my a$$ kicked on the craps table !
Sunday meet my Dad at a cousin's house for Easter. I get there first and park in the street ( residential neighborhood in the Chicago suburbs ) - My dad arrives about a 1/2 hour later. After some appetizers he asks me to go get the camera out of his car ( he has a brand new Lincoln Navigator ). When I go outside I notice he is parked behind me. As I get closer it turns out that
MY FATHER HIT MY CAR ! - Sure enough his front bumper is mashed into the rear of my Boxster. After the initial shock wears off I get in his car, back it up, and inspect the damage. It's scratched up pretty bad from his license plate, and of course no damage to his car. I go back inside and for the first time in my life yell at my dad ! This is a nice residential neighborhood with abundant parking, why in the world he parked right behind me and felt the need to pull so close I'll never know...
Anyway, thanks for listening to ( or reading me ) vent. Hope you all had a better weekend than mine...
