that, and the P2 cars almost got whacked by Acura again. there is NO excuse for what happened at Sebring. last year at Sebring, the RS Spyders were down with alternator issues. THIS year at Daytona, the p-powered cars suffered alternator issues. two weeks later, the RS Spyders at sebring suffered alternator issues. they got shawalloped by the NEW guy!

with the 997 cars, it's my understanding that it's braking and handling where Ferrari is excelling. the braking thing suprises me, as rear-engined cars have an inherent weight balance advantage for this.

the Cayman is quite capable. Ernie's Cayman S race car took fifth overall yesterday in our PCA club race, ousting SEVERAL GT3 cup cars. usually he wouldn't race against them, but a weather fluke caused consolidation of the top two run groups into a single 1/2 combo group. it was raining, of course, but a STRONG showing by the Cayman.
