These cars were made by Germans to be driven by Germans in German winters ... (They are also happy to sell some of us slobs a car or two as well)
Mine grunts and groans in the cold but I think it likes it! The cold, cold air certainly gives a little boost to my acceleration.
Moral of the story: never winterize, just drive it.
