I have a rather inexpensive code reader purchased from Autozone. It's an Actron model 135 or 145, I believe. I think it was around $100 and works on 1996 and newer cars.
Unfortunately I needed it quite a few times for the Box in the past. Everything has been great for some time now since replacing all 4 O2 sensors and the MAF....
Let me know if you need to read any codes before getting a reader.
